	Land & Building : Shiv Charan Mathur Social Policy Research Institute, Jaipur, is located in the prestigious Jhalana Institutional Area, which is fast emerging as a well laid out institutional complex. This area accommodates a large number of educational, social and administrative Institutes. It is about 8 Km from the Jaipur Airport and the Railway Station. Built in a land area of about 2000 square meters, the elegant building of the Institute has a floor area of over 18000 square feet presently. Eventually, the constructed area is proposed to be 45000 square feet. The building design of the Institute is evolved around a central octagonal, open to sky, courtyard which is devised as a central space to provide visual as well as formal inter-connections at all floors and will act as a circulation gallery with an imposing colonnade, connecting the various facilities planned at different levels. The building has facilities like administrative offices, research departments, conference auditorium, seminar rooms and library.
	Library : The library of the Institution contains a large number of books and periodicals needed for social policy research, analysis and reference. The Instituteï¿½s library has a collection of over 7000 volumes and Government publications, which include reference books, annual reports, reviews and other important publications of the Government of India and the State Government. There are reference books published by the State Government, Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Statistical Abstracts, Basic Statistics, District-wise statistical outlines, the Census of India Publications, the District Census Books of Rajasthan, 1981 & 1991, CD ROMs of 2001 Census. The library also contains the District Gazetteers of all the districts of Rajasthan published so far, Annual State Budgets, Annual Administration Reports and other publications of Government Departments and Public Sector undertakings.
	Computer Lab : The computer lab is well equipped with latest hardware and software programmes and Internet facilities. The Institute has a Local Area Network (LAN) with WIN NT platform with accessibility to fast speed Internet round the clock. Institute has all the modern facilities required for facilitating research Computers, Softwares (SPSS, SASS, MS-Excel, MS-Access, Ethnograph, Anthropac, GIS, CDS ISIS etc.).
